Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a van or truck, to transport goods from one location to another.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of items.
- Load and unload packages and other items in a careful and efficient manner.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery contents and ensure they match the provided documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by being polite and professional during deliveries.
- Maintain records of deliveries, including any incidents or issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and responsible driving.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license for operating a delivery vehicle in Canada.
- Good driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit to handle packages and lift heavy objects if required.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is a plus.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
