- Preparing and cooking complete meals, individual dishes, and food items.
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas.
- Recruiting and hiring staff, ensuring organized workflow.
- Accommodating customers with food allergies and preparing related dishes.
- Demonstrating good communication skills.
- Exhibiting effective interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ordering supplies and equipment, as well as cleaning kitchen and work areas.
- Maintaining inventory and records of supplies, food, and kitchen equipment.
- Training staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food items.
- Estimating food requirements and costs, and closely monitoring them.
- Planning menus and determining the size of food portions.
- Reviewing recipes, assembling and cooking ingredients to serve meals.
- Ensuring a sanitary kitchen and skillfully combining various food items.
- Paying attention to detail and presenting each order attractively.
- Checking ingredient freshness and arranging food dishes creatively.
