Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, following established recipes and culinary techniques.
- Ensure that all food items are of the highest quality, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menu items, taking into account dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, following proper sanitation and safety procedures.
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques to continuously enhance culinary skills.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
- Solid knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Being able to work well in a busy and fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks at the same time.
- Having a keen eye for detail and a strong passion for creating dishes that not only taste great but also look visually appealing.
- Having a good understanding of the rules and guidelines for food safety and cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
